What HR & Safety comes with on each plan
Safety comes with Workshop and Scale; HR is an add-on on any plan.
What this is for
HR & Safety is two things sold two ways. Safety comes with the Workshop and Scale plans, more of it on Scale. HR is an add-on you buy on top of any plan, the same way as time keeping. You reach both from the same HR & Safety item in the sidebar, and you only see the parts your shop has.
Step by step

Launch comes with no safety records. A Launch shop can still buy HR, and gets licences & training with it.

Workshop comes with the everyday safety records: licences & training, hazards, incidents, safety data sheets, and plant & equipment with service schedules.

Scale comes with everything in Workshop, plus inductions, the risk register, the process change register, and job SWMS filled in from those registers.

HR is the add-on, the same on every plan: leave and RDOs, staff files, policies, health monitoring, conduct records, someone leaving, recruitment, and licences & training. Only the price changes: the bigger your plan, the less it costs, like time keeping.

To add HR, go to Settings → Your business → Plan & billing and add it under Add-ons, next to time keeping. It shows in your plan total, and cancelling keeps it until the end of the paid period.

A shop on a free trial gets every part of HR & Safety to try. When the trial ends you keep the parts your plan and add-ons give you.
Tips & gotchas
- Licences & training come with either HR or Workshop/Scale safety, so a Workshop shop has them without buying HR.
- HR costs the same as time keeping on each plan, and Plan & billing always shows the current price. When this was written it was $15 a month on Launch, $10 on Workshop and $5 on Scale.
- Leaving safety out of Launch is how the plans are split, not a statement about the law. A small shop has the same safety duties as a big one.
- If HR & Safety is missing from the sidebar, your shop has neither HR nor a plan with safety in it.
