Status

Sign OS is a small Australian company running software your shop depends on, so here is exactly what is watched and what happens when it breaks.

What we monitor

Is the app up?
External uptime checks run against the sign-in page and the public storefront from outside our own infrastructure, so an outage is noticed by something that is not also down.
Does each shop still work?
An hourly canary signs in to every shop as an ordinary staff role — not a super-admin — and loads the catalogue. It catches the failure that only affects one tenant, which a homepage ping never sees.
Did something break for someone?
Every unhandled error in production is captured and tagged with the shop it happened to, so a broken tenant surfaces to us rather than waiting for somebody to report it.
Is the data still there?
The database is backed up nightly and seven nights are kept. Job files and artwork are copied nightly to a second provider in Sydney.

What we don't publish yet

We don't publish a live uptime percentage. We'd rather show a real number than a badge, and the monitoring history isn't long enough yet for one to mean anything. When it is, it goes here.

We also haven't performed a full restore-from-backup drill. Backups run and are retained; proving a restore end to end is a different claim, and we won't make it until we've done one.

When something breaks

Errors alert us with the affected shop attached, so in most cases we're looking at it before anyone calls. If an incident affects your shop's work, you get told what happened rather than left to guess.

What we ship, week by week, is in the changelog. Where your data lives and how long we keep it is on your data.
