Guardrails, by design
ReAct’s tools are gated by the same 70+ per-user permission grants as everything else. Admins pick the approval mode; changes follow your chosen approval setting; every action lands in the audit trail. Floor staff’s ReAct can’t see a price — because floor staff can’t.

A recipe is a list of plain sentences: uses this board, covers the sign, plus 10% waste; runs the printer for 5 minutes per square metre. Offer a choice — gloss, matte or no laminate — and the lines that follow it switch on with the pick. A production plan that works itself out, floor boards that follow it, and Gmail
- Production now plans itself: Sign OS works out when every step can start from how long it takes and who or which department does it, and shows that plan as a Timeline, a Week or a People view beside a tray of work still waiting, and you steer it by dragging a card to another day, to another person or back to the tray, with Undo on every move and a question before a job is planned past the customer's date.
- Floor boards now follow the plan, in the order and at the times it expects, show Late when a step will miss its due date, come in Computer, Tablet and Phone sizes, show jobs on hold, what a step is waiting on and what is still drying, let staff pause a step and undo a finish, and an install now waits until all of the job's workshop work is done.
- You can now add files to a job straight from your Google Drive, and OneDrive and SharePoint can hold your job folders too, in beta: connect it under Files & sync, choose the folder, and each job's files and approved proofs are copied in.
A guided online store, cash sales, and replies that reach you
- Your online store can now use a Solutions layout that starts with the jobs customers come to do, like a new shopfront or a vehicle, and a Help me choose option that asks each product's questions one at a time in plain words, shows choices as picture tiles, size tiles or buttons, and splits a choice like size, print and thickness into separate questions.
- On the store you can now sell design packages at checkout so you know from the start whether a customer has artwork or needs it drawn, add a Request an install quote button to chosen products, ask whether the customer is collecting or having it delivered, offer a welcome code and a thank-you code for their next order, tuck ranges like pens inside a category, and turn on a three-step enquiry form that screens out spam, and the store builder is now set out in seven areas with a sidebar.
- When you mark a quote accepted you can now enter the customer's order number, tick that they have already paid in full, or tick Cash sale so no deposit invoice goes out, and a job paid in cash can be invoiced with a tick that keeps it out of Xero.
More control over your online store, Google Drive, and adding work to a job
- On your online store you can now choose Simple or Detailed product cards, list products A to Z or in the order you added them, put categories into groups, show quantity at the top of the product page, give a product its own name on the store, hide a question or choice from the store while quotes still offer it, and set a product to ask for a quote instead of showing a price, so the customer picks their options and sends you a request with no checkout.
- Store cards now show a from price for products priced by their choices alone, like a van wrap package, the store can play a banner video and fade or lift products into place as customers scroll, and customers can no longer right-click to save or drag away your photos.
- On Workshop and above you can connect your own Google Drive under Files & sync, choose a folder or let Sign OS make one, and every job gets its own folder there with its files and approved proofs copied in, and Sign OS never deletes anything from your Drive.

What is Sign OS?
One connected platform for a whole sign company — CRM, estimating, quoting, production, scheduling, purchasing, invoicing and accounting, plus ReAct, an AI assistant that works inside all of it. Instead of ten tools that don't talk to each other, every stage of a job lives in one place.
Who makes Sign OS?
Todd Farrell, who built it after years on the tools in the Australian sign trade as an installer, estimator and production manager. Sign OS is a registered business name; Todd runs it as a sole trader in Victoria, Australia (ABN 50 613 736 709). Sign OS, two words, is sign shop software. It isn't Signos, the US glucose-monitoring app, or signageOS, the digital-signage platform. The detail is at signos.com.au/about.
Can I get my data out of Sign OS?
Yes. Quotes, jobs, invoices, purchase orders, products, materials, your price book and timesheets export to CSV or Excel yourself, with no fee, and every artwork file and photo downloads as a ZIP. Customer and supplier lists need a request for now. Your data is backed up nightly, and if you leave it's deleted 30 days after your account closes. The detail is at signos.com.au/your-data.
How mature is the platform?
The core loop — quote, produce, purchase, dispatch, invoice — runs in production today, along with your own no-code online store, custom domains, VIP & multi-shop supplier/installer portals, two-way Xero and QuickBooks accounting sync, desktop file sync for Windows and Linux in beta (macOS is not ready yet), a Google Drive folder per job, HR and safety records, versioned artwork proofs with customer sign-off, and custom reports. Storefront card checkout is available once your Stripe account is connected and verified — until then, orders land as enquiries for you to confirm and invoice. Filing email onto a job from the Outlook and Gmail panels works now. One thing is built but switched off: the MYOB connection, because MYOB charges A$110 a month just for access to its developer API. How does quoting stay accurate?
You define each product as a recipe once — materials, machine time, labour, markup. The deterministic engine then prices every quote the same way, deriving usage, waste and time automatically. Overrides are always allowed and always visible.
What exactly can ReAct do today?
Find any record in plain English, create and update quotes, jobs, customers and POs (following your chosen approval setting), navigate the app for you, and summarise live production. It runs under the same per-user permission grants as your staff, and admins choose how strict approval mode is.
What about my accounting system?
Sign OS generates operational invoices and syncs two-way with Xero and QuickBooks today — sending invoices out and reading payment status back. The MYOB connection is built and tested, but MYOB charges A$110 a month just for access to its developer API, so it stays switched off until enough shops need it; we won't put a date on it. Sign OS is not the general ledger; your accountant keeps their system.
Who sees what?
Roles plus 85+ per-user grants control everything down to line costs, margins and buy prices. Floor staff never see a dollar figure. Approval policies can gate quote sends, invoice issues, PO sends and variations.
