About Sign OS
Hi, I'm Todd — I built Sign OS.
14 years in the sign trade, standing at just about every station on the shop floor. Sign OS is the software I wished I'd had the whole time.
Why I built it
Managing my workload — quotes, jobs, ordering materials, getting things into production — always felt like a hassle. Nothing talked to each other. I was approaching every job as a one-off; some were similar, but it was rarely a cookie-cutter “follow these steps” process. So I built what I wish I'd had: the thing that would have let me do my job better, faster and more accurately, with less complicated setup.
I've done the jobs
I've been in the Australian sign trade since 2012. I started out as an all-rounder in Sydney, then spent years installing, moved into estimating, graphics and project coordination, production management and project management — even some signwriting and design work for a professional Supercars race team along the way. I'm Melbourne-based now.
That means I've quoted the job, ordered the materials, run it through production, installed it on site and chased the invoice. I know where the time leaks, where the money leaks, and where the existing tools make you do the same thing three times. I'm still on the tools in the trade today, so Sign OS gets built around how the work actually happens — not how a spreadsheet wishes it did.
What Sign OS is
One connected system for a sign shop: quoting, production scheduling, purchasing and invoicing that actually talk to each other. Built in Australia, priced in AUD, and made by someone who's done the work — for the people who do the work.
