Send an order confirmation when a quote is accepted
Tell the customer their quote has become a job.
What this is for
Order confirmation is a separate, optional email sent when an accepted quote becomes a job. It confirms the order; it does not approve the artwork or say production has finished.
Before you start
- You can edit the shop’s email templates.
Step by step
- 1
Open Settings → Look & paperwork → Templates and choose Email.
- 2
Choose Order confirmation. Read the subject and message and change them to suit your shop.
- 3
Switch on its automatic sending option and save.
- 4
When a quote is accepted and the job is made, Sign OS sends the confirmation if a customer email address is available. Online quote approval uses the same setting.
- 5
Check Sent emails under Settings → Connections → Email if a customer says nothing arrived.
Tips & gotchas
- It starts off. Switching it on does not resend confirmations for all the orders already accepted.
- A confirmation email failing does not undo the job. Check delivery and the address before sending another message.
