Help/Customers & online store/Find and process designs sent by customers

Find and process designs sent by customers

Follow a design into its quote or web order and check the print files.

What this is for

Designs from customers keeps the online designer’s submissions together. A quote request becomes a draft quote with print and proof files; an online purchase follows the web-order flow.

Before you start

  • •A product’s online designer has been published and a customer has started or submitted a design.

Step by step

  1. 1

Open Templates → Online designer and find Designs from customers.

  2. 2

Read the reference, product, customer and status. Still designing is unfinished, Sent for a quote needs the office, Ordered is in the checkout flow, and Paid confirms payment.

  3. 3

For a quote request, press Open quote. Check the contact, choices, quantities, pricing and attached print PDF and proof before emailing a quote.

  4. 4

For a purchase, use Web orders and confirm payment before accepting it through the usual order workflow.

  5. 5

Read any print-check count and inspect the artwork. Follow the staff-review and proof requirements before releasing the job.

Tips & gotchas

  • →Rows marked Test are staff tests. Check that label before treating one as customer work.
  • →A saved design or an opened checkout is not proof of payment.
  • →Check print output yourself; a generated file does not replace the shop’s artwork approval and production checks.
