Help/Customers & online store/Publish a product’s online designer

Publish a product’s online designer

Choose templates, quote or checkout, then test and share.

What this is for

The product’s Online designer setup connects artwork to its recipe and price. Publishing creates a link for customers and can add Design it to the product in your Sign OS store.

Before you start

  • •Your shop has online designer access. Have a priced product and a saved template, or enable finished-artwork uploads.
  • •Buy it online also needs the store and card payments set up.

Step by step

  1. 1

Open the product and its Online designer setup.

  2. 2

Under What customers do, set the name and instructions, then choose Send it for a quote or Buy it online.

  3. 3

Under Templates customers start from, select the layouts. Decide whether customers may upload finished artwork or ask for design help, and whether every design needs staff review.

  4. 4

Under Materials and colours, restrict the offered colours for each product choice where needed.

  5. 5

Save setup, then Save and publish. Read and fix any checks that prevent publication.

  6. 6

Use Test as a customer and try the wording, options, quantities and print checks. Signed-in shop submissions are marked as tests and do not email the shop.

  7. 7

Copy link to share it. Turn on Show a “Design it” button on this product in my web store if you also want it on the store.

Tips & gotchas

  • →Update the live designer publishes later changes. Customers already designing keep the version they started with.
  • →Pause stops new designs without deleting earlier ones.
  • →A normal free trial does not automatically include the online designer. Contact Sign OS to arrange access if it is unavailable.
