Release a job to production

Move a job from planning into the shop so work can start.

What this is for

Releasing a job is the switch that says 'make this now'. It puts the job on the floor boards and the schedule so your team can start work with everything they need in front of them.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open the job and click Release to production in the header.

  2. 2

    Step through the wizard — check the due date, review the production steps, then confirm.

  3. 3

    The job status moves to In progress, and it appears on the timeline and the relevant floor boards.

  • →Release only when a job is truly ready — files approved, materials sorted — so the floor is never blocked waiting.
