Releasing a job reserves stock and raises purchase orders against the job at your suppliers' real prices, so material costs land where they belong. Because usage and waste are computed per substrate, you can see where offcuts and yield are eating margin — and the quoted-versus-actual panel tells you whether a recipe needs tuning after the job closes.
