Sign making software — from the quote to the finished sign

Sign making is materials, machine time and skilled hands — and software that ignores that ends up as a glorified invoice generator. Sign OS models how a sign is actually made: every product is a recipe of substrates, machine minutes and labour steps, so the same logic that prices the job also drives the cut, the print and the fabrication on the floor.

Price the sign from how it's made

Each product is a living recipe — substrates, machine minutes, labour, options and markup. When you quote, the engine derives material usage, waste and yield from real sheet, roll, square-metre and lineal-metre geometry: signage-native units, not generic line items. Change a size or quantity and the whole thing re-derives instantly.

That means the person quoting doesn't need to be your best estimator — the recipe already knows how much ACM, how much cutter time and which markup band applies.

  • ✓Sheet, roll, sqm and lm aware — usage from geometry, not guesses
  • ✓Waste and yield calculated per material, visible on every line
  • ✓Machine time split into setup and run per process
  • ✓Tiered markup by quantity, size or dollar band — overrides always visible

The making runs on the floor

Accepting a quote creates the job in one click with prices frozen. It lands on a department timeline and releases to big-button floor boards for cutting, printing and fabrication queues. QR-coded job sheets let makers clock real time against real steps — so what's scheduled reflects what's actually being made.

  • ✓Quote → job in one click, prices frozen at acceptance
  • ✓Cut, print and fabrication queues on floor tablet boards
  • ✓QR job sheets — scan, step, clock (no prices on the floor)
  • ✓Department timeline with capacity overload warnings

Materials, stock and waste under control

Releasing a job reserves stock and raises purchase orders against the job at your suppliers' real prices, so material costs land where they belong. Because usage and waste are computed per substrate, you can see where offcuts and yield are eating margin — and the quoted-versus-actual panel tells you whether a recipe needs tuning after the job closes.

  • ✓Stock reservation on job release; job-linked purchase orders
  • ✓Per-material waste and yield visibility
  • ✓Live quoted-vs-actual margin to tune recipes over time
  • ✓Bulk CSV import for materials, suppliers and customers

Frequently asked questions

What kinds of signs does it handle?
If it's made from sheets, rolls and machine time, it fits: vinyl and print, ACM and flatbed, wide-format, dimensional and fabricated signage. Recipes model the substrates, machines and labour steps you actually use, so the engine prices and schedules your work, not a generic template.
Do I have to set up every product before I can quote?
No — the free trial includes a shared catalogue of materials, machines and processes to build from, and you can be quoting the day you start. Most shops set up their top five products first; every recipe you add makes the next quote faster.
Can it handle installation as well as making?
Yes. Jobs carry site and logistics details, installation schedules on the same department timeline as production, and there's a dedicated portal for install contractors with the job information they need — without exposing your prices.
What does it cost in Australia?
Plans are AUD $89/month for 3 users, $169 for 10 and $249 for 20 — no onboarding fees and no per-user fees inside each bucket, roughly half the incumbent MIS platforms. Every plan starts with a free 7-day trial, no card required.
