Set up a second business name
Add another trading name, with its own details and logo, for your paperwork.
What this is for
Plenty of shops run two names out of one business. Add the second name once in Templates, with its own ABN, contact details, address and logo. A customer set to it gets their quotes, invoices and job paperwork under that name; everyone else stays on your main business.

Templates → 3 — Business names
- Main brand · details and logo in Business details
- The first row, your main business. Its name, address and logo are changed in Business details, not here.
- Business name · Legal name (if different) · ABN · Phone · Email · Website · Address · Suburb · State · Postcode
- What prints on the PDFs under this name. Business name is also what staff pick from on a customer and on a quote.
- Upload logo / Replace logo · Use main logo
- PNG, JPEG or WebP under 2 MB. Until you upload one, it prints your main logo.
- Remove brand
- Takes the name off. Customers and documents set to it go back to your main business; paperwork already sent keeps the name it went out under.
- Add another business name
- Adds a blank one to fill in. Press Save template at the bottom to keep your changes.
Before you start
- You can open Settings → Look & paperwork → Templates. Your main name, address and logo stay in Business details.
Step by step
- 1
Open Settings → Look & paperwork → Templates and scroll to 3 — Business names.
- 2
Press Add another business name and fill in its business name, ABN, contact details and address.
- 3
Press Upload logo to give it its own logo, or leave it on your main one.
- 4
Press Save template.
- 5
Open each customer who deals with that business and pick it under Quote and invoice them as. Their next quote, invoice and job paperwork print under it.
- 6
For a one-off, pick the name under Brand profile on PDF on the quote's review screen before you send.
Tips & gotchas
- A second name starts with your main PDF colours and fonts as they were when you added it. Changing your main colours later doesn't change it.
- The emails Sign OS sends, and purchase orders, still go out under your main business.
