Start a quote — pick the customer
Begin a quote on the one-page builder — the Who card handles the customer inline.
What this is for
Every quote starts with the customer. Choosing them up front means their pricing group and credit terms apply automatically, so the numbers are right from the first line.

Before you start
- Helpful: the customer already exists (or create them here as you go).
Step by step
- 1
Choose New quote from the Quotes screen. You land straight on the builder — the 'Who it's for' card sits at the top.
- 2
Search an existing customer and pick them, or just type a name — a name is all a quote needs. Use Add to customers to save a new one to your database, or leave it as a one-off.
- 3
Their pricing group and credit terms are applied to the quote automatically; the ~20 optional details live behind More details.
- 4
Everything saves in the background — start adding lines as soon as the name is in.
Tips & gotchas
- Set a customer's pricing group and credit terms on their record once, and every new quote inherits them.
