Give store customers a discount code
A welcome code for a first online order, and a thank-you code for the next one.
What this is for
Two codes bring customers to your online store and back again. The welcome code goes to anyone who leaves their email in a box on your store, for their first online order. The thank-you code is printed in every online order confirmation, for that customer's next order. Both are off until you switch them on.

Before you start
- Your online store is switched on.
Step by step
- 1
Open Settings → Online store and choose Products.
- 2
Switch on Welcome code for a first order. Set Percent off, Most it takes off and Good for (days), and the wording on the box if you want your own.
- 3

- 4
Publish. The welcome box appears on your store and order confirmations start carrying the thank-you code.
Tips & gotchas
- Each code belongs to the email it was sent to and works once.
- Changing the numbers only changes codes sent from then on. Codes already sent keep what they were sent with.
- Codes start WELCOME- or THANKS-, so you can tell which one a customer used.
- Products that ask for a quote instead of showing a price have no checkout, so no code applies to them.
